The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Peter Nhek Neth, according to media reports. Neth was a suspect in the June 15 murder of Richfield Chang, 37, at a home in Washington, D.C., according to the Washington Post.

The Marshals Service's Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force was investigating the homicide out of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department when Neth was located in an Ashburn residence on Lamoreaux Landing Square, according to a spokesman with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. The U.S. Marshals Service Special Response Team and the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Section assisted with the incident.

A barricade began around 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ashburn home. The situation ended after the suspect was found dead.

No law enforcement officers were injured during the incident, and authorities did not fire any rounds during the situation, Troxell said.
