A new bowling venue promising to be the newest place to party and play opens Friday in Village at Leesburg.

Bowlero is taking over the space formerly occupied by King Pinz. The 22,000-square-foot venue has been remodeled and boasts eclectic design like blacklight lanes, vintage light fixtures, wall graphics, lane side loungers, amusements and giant video walls.

The Leesburg spot is the second Bowlero venue to open in Virginia this year, following the debut of the brand's Centreville location. Bowlero's owners, Bowlmor AMF, is the largest operator of bowling centers in the world, with more than 300 domestic locations, eight locations in Mexico and three in Canada.

"Leesburg has evolved into one of the region's fastest-growing communities, so we wanted to bring a new entertainment option to residents of the region," said Jillian Laufer of Bowlmor AMF. "With more people wanting to live and do business in Leesburg, Bowlero will transform the entertainment landscape by offering guests a diverse array of fun options."

Bowlmor AMF has been named to the Inc. 500 list of America's fastest-growing private companies for the past three years. The company's portfolio of bowling retail brands includes AMF, Bowlmor Lanes, Bowlero, Brunswick Bowling, Brunswick Zone and Brunswick Zone XL.

The venue is also promising a stellar selection of food, including a 5-pound, 14-inch-round party burger called the Behemoth Burger. For those with a sweeter palate, dishes include the Monster Cookie Melt - a warm, jumbo chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

Bowlero also houses a sports bar -- serving specialty cocktails like the Mad Mai Tai, Old-School Moscow Mule and the Dunk Tank - a fishbowl cocktail designed to be shared with friends.

Like its predecessor, King Pinz, Bowlero will host birthday parties, private gatherings, and corporate events.

The Redskins' DeAngelo Hall is hosting Friday's grand opening event. Attendees will receive a complimentary game of bowling, shoe rental and have a chance to sample dishes from the menu. RVSP is recommended at www.bowlero.com/events/leesburg-grand-opening
