Amanda Brewer DAAR

Amanda Brewer assumed her role as CEO of the Dulles Area Association of Realtors in late June.

The Dulles Area Association of Realtors will welcome Amanda Brewer as its new CEO on June 30, according to association officials.

“DAAR is well positioned to continue to grow and serve our members while committing to a bright, new future,” Brewer said in a prepared statement. “It is clear that DAAR has a talented staff and exceptional volunteers, and I am eager to begin working with such a great group of people.”

In her 10-plus years as a real estate professional, Brewer has worked for various realtor associations and real estate offices, most recently serving as the director of membership of the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors.

Brewer’s primary duty at KCRAR was providing a “refined membership on-boarding experience, improving billing practices, rebuilding sponsorship opportunities and overseeing annual events," DAAR representatives said.

Brewery's employer history also includes the Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors, where she built "a diverse education curriculum and managed large-scale events focusing on technology, housing initiatives, and community involvement," according to an announcement.

Brewer has a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Louisville in Kentucky, and the National Association of Realtors designated her as a Realtor Association Certified Executive in 2018.

“There was an abundance of talent to choose from but, in the end, Amanda’s overall quality shone through, and the selection team was unanimous in their final choice,” DAAR President Barry Taylor said in a prepared statement. “We are truly excited to get the new chapter of DAAR’s story underway.”

I'm not in the real estate business, but thought it was worth noting the choice of someone not familiar, not from, not working in and amongst Loudoun County might not be well received by the realtor membership. And passing over local candidates. But what do I know.

Ms. Brewer--Congratulations on your new appointment. Good luck in your new position. [smile]
