Four Lansdowne Resort staff members were taken to a local hospital as a precaution Monday morning after maintenance crews at the resort unintentionally mixed chemicals that caused breathing problems for several employees, according to Loudoun County officials.

The initial call for possible hazardous materials came in around 7:30 a.m. The resort partially evacuated, though there were no reports of exposure to hotel guests, Laura Rinehart of Loudoun County Fire and Rescue said.

Rinehart said people were being taken back inside around 10:30 am.
