Overfilling of a fuel tank for a generator at Inova Loudoun Hospital led to a spill into the Town Branch and Tuscarora Creek waterways around 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

Chief Keith H. Johnson of the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System said about 300 gallons leaked. He said the spill occurred during the filling of the tank and it was promptly called into authorities.
