The nonprofit Discover Purcellville is launching a new call for artists for its 3rd annual summer art project, "Painted Love Seats Around Purcellville."

"For 2018, we have custom-made Amish wood adirondack love seats for Loudoun's creative artists to paint," said Michael Oaks, who coordinates the project.

Discover Purcellville has organized projects to support the local artist community the past two years, including "Painted Barrels Around Purcellville" and "Painted Benches Around Purcellville."

Both projects drew rave reviews and positive response from the local community, Oaks said.

The painted love seats will be displayed around town from May through October in front of local sponsor businesses.

"This year we encourage artists to create a Purcellville or western Loudoun theme for their subject," Oaks said.
