The historic Leesburg Diner will play host to Fox News Channel's flagship morning show, "Fox & Friends," on Friday morning, according to the news channel.
Enterprise reporter Lawrence Jones will present the show's "Breakfast with Friends" segment live from the restaurant, Fox News officials told the Times-Mirror on Wednesday.
Among the news items Jones will cover are the ongoing allegations that Loudoun County Public Schools has adopted critical race theory in its curriculum and staff training.
The broadcast will take place less than a week after an anti-critical race theory rally at the Loudoun County Government Center just a few blocks away.
Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D) commented on the issue in an interview published by The New York Times earlier this week, accusing Republicans of using critical race theory "as a dog whistle … to frighten people."
Jones will also discuss President Joe Biden's recent summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Geneva, Switzerland, as well as weather, sports and entertainment news.
Friday's "Breakfast with Friends" will comprise five or six live broadcast segments between 6 and 9 a.m., officials said.
Leesburg Diner is located at 9 S King St. in downtown Leesburg and has been in operation since 1865, according to the restaurant's website.
