A man was arrested in Sterling Tuesday after allegedly eluding law enforcement and being found in possession of a controlled substance, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
An LCSO deputy reportedly conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction around 1:35 p.m. near the intersection of Route 7 and Lakeland Drive.
Officials say the driver failed to stop, leading the deputy to pursue the vehicle.
The driver eventually pulled over, after which the deputy took him into custody and found narcotics in the vehicle.
Xavier A. Henschel, 21, of Great Falls, was charged with eluding law enforcement, possession of a controlled substance and several traffic-related offenses.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the suspect was being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
