A man was arrested Wednesday in connection to an alleged aggravated assault that occurred in Leesburg Monday, according to the Leesburg Police Department.
Darryl Johnson, 21, of Herndon, was charged with felony unlawful wounding and misdemeanor assault and battery.
Authorities say he is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
Around 8 p.m. Monday, LPD officers responded to the 100 block of N. King Street for a report of the alleged incident.
Upon arrival, authorities met a 19-year-old male who claimed a person he knew assaulted him with a knife.
The victim was transported to an area hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Per the LPD, Johnson was the sole suspect in the incident, which investigators said was an isolated incident that does not indicate a threat to the community.
Johnson's arrest followed an investigation by the LPD's Special Investigations Unit and detectives assigned to the Northern Virginia Regional Gang Task Force.
