Loudoun County Republican Women collect donations for Loudoun Hunger Relief

Loudoun County Republican Women's Club members Maria Stanton, Patti Hidalgo Menders and Vicki Butarazi with the donations they collected for Loudoun Hunger Relief.

To give back to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, members of the Loudoun County Republican Women's Club collected donations to support Loudoun Hunger Relief.

Led by the group's new president, Patti Hidalgo Menders, and committee chair Maria Stanton, they asked Loudoun Hunger Relief what was needed most during this trying time.

Menders said LHR had a low supply of baby diapers, wipes and formula, so LCRWC set up five collection sites around the county.

The 100-member organization was able to gather three rolling bins filled with baby items, and members recently delivered them to LHR.

"Every month we will do a new fundraiser and philanthropy project. We want to educate, encourage and empower women, and we welcome new members," Menders said.
