Sterling Grand Central

Loudoun County authorities are investigating gunshots at Sterling townhouse early Friday.

Loudoun County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the 45500 block of Grand Central Square around 1:50 a.m. today, where several residents in the area reported hearing gunfire. A canvass of the scene recovered discharged casings and several rounds that entered a townhome where three residents were inside, according to the sheriff's office. No one was injured during the incident.

The LCSO is investigating a similar incident where shots were fired at an Ashburn apartment complex earlier this month. In that case, an unknown subject or subjects discharged rounds at an apartment complex building in the Grove at Flynn’s Crossing on April 6. No one was injured during the Ashburn incident.

It is unclear at this time if the two cases are related, according to authorities.

Anyone with information regarding either of the cases is asked to contact Detective C. Pickrell of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-1021. You may also submit a tip through the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office app, which is available on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.

It is "Gun Play" until responsible gun owners step up and demand the idiots be trained and held accountable and not blow smoke about the God given right in the second amendment that assures even the idiots share the same rights as well.

Chris this was not "gun play", but the actions of an idiot which no law can prevent.

I'm sorry but is gun play frowned upon in Sterling?

Chris, it wasn't "Gun Play", but the actions of an idiot which no law can prevent.

Maybe there should be a law that keeps idiots from having guns.Like having to pass a simple gun handling and safety class. Until then it's really just gun play, because any idiot can have a gun.
