Loudoun County Sheriff's Office seal

An armed robbery reportedly took place in Aldie Tuesday night and is being investigated by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

LCSO officials say the victim was sitting in his vehicle in the area of Everfield Drive and Lavender Valley Court around 6:45 p.m. when an unknown male approached the vehicle, asking if the victim had jumper cables.

The suspect then reportedly brandished a firearm and struck the victim with his hand. A second suspect entered the vehicle's passenger side and stole electronics and a small amount of cash.

Authorities describe both suspects as Hispanic men in their 20s. The first suspect was around 5-feet, 10-inches tall and reportedly wore a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and dark gloves. The second was wearing a red jacket and dark-colored gloves.

After the robbery, the two suspects ran to a nearby vehicle — described as a dark-colored sedan — driven by a third suspect and fled the scene, traveling toward Route 50.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective C. Pickrell of the LCSO Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-1021.
