Where do I drop my $213,000,000.00 check off to covers these?

Citizens cannot be upset when their taxes are increased because they voted for it. Where else do they think this funding is going to come from?

We are sacrificing the financial future of the County because our elected officials did not properly plan for or hold the developers accountable for the urban sprawl that is over taking our once beautiful County.

And the Metro debacles...why aren't the contractors, their unsurance companies or bonds they should have posted not paying for all the shoddy work and screw ups? Why is it US!!!???

These expenditures were already approved. The only consideration was whether we pay for them all at once via funding in a single year or whether we finance them over several years with bonds. The sad part is that because Supervisor Matt "slush fund" Letourneau budgets a $100M surplus each year in the operating budget, we could have outright paid for one of these projects just with the extra taxes he pads into every budget. This is why there are so many pet projects (out of the $100M surplus) at the end of the year with "free" money. That money is anything but free. Each house pays about $500/year extra because of the current BOS gimmicks. But the newspapers won't tell you (they likely don't understand) and won't report on those of us who do try to highlight it.

Just make sure you're out of Loudoun when this place starts to look like Stockton, California.

Sure this COUNTY is going to turn a city with financial woes. There is really no comparison, that statement is fear mongering.
