The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is requesting information regarding the armed robbery of a bicycle rider on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail in Sterling on Saturday.

At approximately 12:20 p.m., the victim was approached by two suspects near Williamsburg Road. According to LCSO officials, one suspect wielded a firearm and demanded the victim hand over her belongings.

The suspects stole the bicyclist's jewelry, bag, cell phone and bicycle before fleeing the area on bikes. The victim reported minor injuries following the incident.

Authorities describe the suspects as two Hispanic males, approximately 18 years old. One was thin and seen wearing blue jeans, a white shirt and a white hat, while the other was heavyset and wearing blue jeans and a black shirt.

Most likely the gun wasn't a a firearm. Most would pawn the real gun before they get desperate enough to steal a bicycle to pay for the next fix. What we don't need is vigilantes toting guns on the W&OD and terrorizing everyone.


The Left is doing everything they can to take away our 2nd Amendment rights all the while allowing a flood of illegals from all all over the world. This is a glimpse of the future under Dem leadership.


There should be laws against armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
