An Ashburn man was arrested Thursday after turning himself in in connection to an Aug. 5 burglary, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Clarence Vaughn IV, 26, was charged with entering a dwelling with intent to commit larceny, destruction of property, assault and battery, obstruction of justice and hindering a deputy sheriff.
Around 10:22 p.m. Monday, Vaughn reportedly entered a residence near the 20000 block of Smith Circle in Ashburn through a window.
The victim, whom reportedly knew Vaughn, reported that Vaughn entered the residence through a window, stole a microwave and assaulted the victim as he was fleeing.
Deputies later obtained information that the suspect was in the Leesburg area following the burglary. They responded to the area of Edwards Ferry Road NE in an attempt to locate the suspect, who reportedly fled on foot and could not be located.
The Leesburg Police Department and the Virginia State Police assisted LCSO with the search.
