Loudoun County Sheriff's Office seal

A 54-year-old man was arrested and charged with public intoxication after being found standing in the woods near Seneca Ridge Middle School Tuesday.

A Loudoun County Sheriff's Office school resource officer observed the man, later identified as Edgar N. Rivas Arias, standing in the woods near the school around 5 p.m.

After making contact with Arias, it was determined he was intoxicated.

Arias, of no fixed address, was charged with public intoxication and later released from the county adult detention center on a personal recognizance bond.

No children were present during the apprehension, according the sheriff's office.

Not a good sign 54, intoxicated, near school property and no fixed address.

surprised that no one is blaming this guy on the schools

Agreed but is he here legally? No reason to miss the opportunity for that comment.

We will never know. LTM doesn't report it and I haven't heard of the Sheriff either charging them or turning them over to ICE for illegal immigration. We can't even serve our legal immigrants properly.

He was probably trying to apply for a job with LCPS, and wanted to show up in the right condition to make the best impression possible...intoxicated.
