Sterling pedestrian map view

A woman was assaulted near the intersection of Magnolia Road and Locomotive Terrace in Sterling on April 2, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking information after a female pedestrian was reportedly assaulted in Sterling on the evening of April 2.

The victim was walking in the area of Magnolia Road and Locomotive Terrace around 9 p.m. when an unknown male suspect approached her, according to LCSO officials.

The suspect reportedly pushed the victim to the ground and then fled on foot in the direction of Thompson Square.

Authorities described the suspect as a Hispanic male about 5 feet 7 inches tall wearing a black jacket, a black hat and a mask.

The victim sustained no physical injuries, per the LCSO.

Anyone with potential information on the suspect is asked to contact Detective S. McCormack at 703-777-1021.
