Pedestrian struck - Sterling

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the intersection of N. Sterling Boulevard and E. Beech Road in the early hours of Nov. 16.

A vehicle struck a pedestrian in the intersection of North Sterling Boulevard and East Beech Road in Sterling early Monday, causing serious injuries, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the area around 12:19 a.m. for a report of the incident, which remains under LCSO investigation.

Authorities said it appears the vehicle involved had the right of way when the pedestrian ran across the intersection and into the vehicle's path.

The LCSO has asked witnesses who have yet to speak to law enforcement contact Dept. Tyler Bradley at 703-777-1021.
