The Leesburg Police Department is investigating a pedestrian struck incident they say occurred Tuesday morning on Catoctin Circle in Leesburg, according to an LPD spokesperson.
At 9:18 a.m. LPD officers responded to a one-car crash near the Leesburg Post Office.
Leesburg Public Information Office Michael Drogin confirmed that a 33-year-old adult male was struck while crossing the street and sustained minor injuries. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver of the car, an adult female, has been charged with failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk.
