The Purcellville Pub on Monday night hosted childhood cancer advocate Tattoo Tom Mitchell, comedian Walker Hays and One Family Brewing owner David Keuhner for a fundraising event to benefit StillBrave Childhood Cancer Foundation.
Purcellville Pub owners Kevin and Jen Bednarz coordinated the "Hot Ones wings challenge" which raised nearly $50,000 for StillBrave.
"Kevin is a good friend and he's always there for us," said Mitchell who founded StillBrave over 10 years ago. "This was a great event."
StillBrave supports children with cancer and their families by providing necessities while they are undergoing treatment such as gas cards, groceries and financial assistance as well as overall support.
"Our work is serious, but I try to make it fun by hanging out with them, play Crazy 8 or Barbie and travel all over the world helping these kids," Mitchell said.
