A Loudoun County Public Schools teacher was arrested and charged with drinking or possessing alcoholic beverages on public school grounds and public intoxication Thursday.
Brian K. Chamer, 46, of Sterling, was arrested at Mill Run Elementary School in Ashburn after a school resource officer was contacted by school personnel. An investigation found bottles of alcohol “in his personal effects inside the school,” according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Chamer was released on an unsecured $500 bond, according to authorities.
Chamer is the second Loudoun County school teacher arrested this week. Twenty-five-year-old Allison Briel was charged Tuesday with inappropriate communication with students after allegedly sending provocative photos to students and soliciting sex.
