A longtime barbershop based in Winchester has expanded and opened on East Colonial Highway next to the town office in Hamilton.
Sharp Edges opened in early September in the former space owned by Thompson Best Fireplace Design.
Shop owners Kenisha and Carlton Vaughan have hired two barbers, Marcus Miller and Michael Blair, to work in the new location.
Kenisha Vaughan said they have numerous clients from Ashburn and Leesburg who visit the Winchester location, so they have been looking to expand for awhile.
“We wanted to open in Loudoun County for a long time and finally found this space. There are a lot of cars that drive by here every day. This is the perfect place for us,” Vaughan said.
Vaughan said they look forward to becoming part of the community and supporting local sports teams and schools.
While it is a barbershop and most of the clients are men, Sharp Edges also does cuts for women and children, and they plan to hire a stylist specifically to cut ladies’ hair. “Kids love our cuts. We are here and we welcome everyone to come in and try us out,” she said.
