Loudoun County Sheriff's Office seal

A student at Loudoun Valley High School was served on a petition for malicious wounding Tuesday, Nov. 16, after allegedly assaulting another student at the school on Thursday, Nov. 11, according to a Wednesday statement by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

A sheriff’s office school resource officer was notified of the alleged assault shortly after 11:30 a.m. last Thursday, the sheriff’s office said. The deputy located both the juvenile suspect and victim, who was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries to his face.

The sheriff’s office referred the case to Loudoun County Juvenile Court Services following its investigation. Officials are not released the names of the suspect or victim because they are both juveniles.
