Loudoun County Sheriff's Office seal

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a series of larcenies from vehicles in the Sterling area on Saturday and is reminding residents to remove items of value from their vehicles, according to a June 21 announcement.

Detectives with the LCSO have released surveillance video of a suspect who appears to be targeting vehicles with items in plain view before forcing entry.

On the evening of June 18, multiple vehicles were entered in the area of Potomac Run Plaza, Dulles Town Circle, Davenport Drive, Lake Center Plaza, Waterview Plaza, and Atlantic Boulevard, the announcement states. Items taken included purses, backpacks, and electronics. The victims later returned to their vehicles to find damaged windows and items taken from inside.

If you can identify the suspect or have any information regarding this case, you are asked to contact Det. James Breeden of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at James.Breeden@loudoun.gov.

Tips can also be submitted through the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office app. The Loudoun Sheriff app is available on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
