A man was arrested in Sterling Thursday afternoon after allegedly swinging a knife at another man during an altercation, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to the 22000 block of South Sterling Boulevard around 4:52 p.m. for reports of an assault in progress.
Two males were found to be involved in a verbal altercation, during which one displayed a knife and swung it toward the other.
Luis A. Macaya Arredondo, 27, of Sterling, was charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct.
As of Friday he was being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
