A man whom Loudoun County Sheriff's Office deputies took into custody Thursday afternoon has received two charges each of unlawful entry and simple assault following break-ins at Ashburn's Stone Hill Middle School and a nearby residence.

Ever A. Rivera Aleman, 30, of Sterling, unlawfully entered a dwelling in the 23000 block of Cypress Glen Sq. and then the school, which is at 23415 Evergreen Ridge Dr., around 12:17 p.m. Thursday, according to the LCSO.

Authorities said Rivera Aleman was carrying a hammer when he made both unlawful entries.

School staff and a small number of students were reportedly on-site at the time of the second break-in, and administrators immediately placed the building in lockdown.

Authorities found the suspect in an empty classroom and took him into custody. Per the LCSO, he had no contact and no injuries were reported.

The two simple assault charges stem from the suspect having allegedly threatened school employees who were outside the building before he made entry.

Per Loudoun County Public Schools officials, students were on the property as part of the school system's staged implementation of a hybrid learning model.

Authorities said Rivera Aleman remained held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center as of Friday afternoon.
