A Sterling man was arrested Monday morning after allegedly assaulting a taxi driver under the influence of alcohol, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded around 2 a.m. to the 200 block of North Alder Avenue in Sterling for reports of a customer who had assaulted a taxi driver after refusing to pay him. Authorities say the suspect was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
Adolfo D. Pastor-Sosa, 23, of Sterling, was charged with public intoxication, assault and battery and procuring a vehicle with intent to defraud.
The taxi driver did not sustain any injuries from the incident.
Pastor-Sosa was held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and later released on a personal recognizance bond.
