A man was arrested Sunday morning in Sterling after authorities reportedly found marijuana in his vehicle, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to the intersection of Harry Byrd Highway and Cedar Drive around 11:28 a.m. for a report of a crash without injuries.
Upon contacting the driver, deputies reportedly noticed the scent of marijuana coming from his vehicle.
Officials say several small bags of the drug and distribution equipment were located in the vehicle, and more illicit materials were found discarded in the vicinity.
Christian M. Adlam, 20, of Sterling, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and obstruction of justice.
As of Monday evening, Adlam was being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
