A Manassas man was arrested in New York Thursday night for the May 10 sexual assault of a woman at a residence in the area of Maison Carree Square in Ashburn.
The 47-year-old suspect, Sunil Nasim, has been charged with aggravated sexual battery and forcible sodomy, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Nasim reportedly encountered the victim while he was a pizza deliveryman.
On the day of the assault, Nasim delivered food to the victim’s residence around noon, according to the LCSO. Later in the day he called the victim back and said he had more food that he would bring to her house. During the second delivery, the suspect allegedly groped the woman and then sexually assaulted her.
During the course of the investigation, Nasim left the area. He was located by the New York State Police on Thursday, and he remains held in the Warren County Jail in New York pending extradition to Virginia.
The case was investigated by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit.
