The 14th annual Drive For Charity is Thursday. Tolls collected on the Dulles Greenway Thursday will be donated to local charities and a scholarship program in an effort to help Loudoun County families and charities.

Last year, the drive collected $316,627. It has collected nearly $3.4 million over the last 13 years. The main beneficiaries of this year's Drive for Charity are:

-March of Dimes

-ECHO

-Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter (LAWS)

-Fresh Air/Full Care

-Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy

-Loudoun Free Clinic

-Loudoun Hunger Relief

-The Dulles Greenway Scholarship Program, where the Greenway awards $2,000 to one senior at each of the Loudoun County public high schools.

The Dulles Greenway is a privately owned 14-mile toll road that connects Washington Dulles International Airport with Leesburg.

Great public relations. Now how about giving Loudoun residents a discount when taking the Greenway or else pay what you should in Property taxes for an asset you have already borrowed over $1 billion on. When I am Chair of the BOS fairness in taxation will be on the agenda and the largest entities in Loudoun who don't pay their fair share will be on top of the list along with Howard Hughes Institute.
