Lovettsville resident David Goldman was found guilty Wednesday of 84 counts of possession of child pornography.

A Loudoun County jury took nearly 24 hours to reach a verdict and came back Wednesday afternoon to find Goldman guilty of one count of a first offense of possession of child pornography and guilty of 83 counts of a second or subsequent offense, Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney Alex Rueda said.

Goldman was sentenced to 12 months in prison on the first count and 20 days for the remaining counts, which amounts to approximately five and a half years.

Goldman was indicted on child pornography charges in July 2017. He was arrested in March 2016 and charged with five felony counts of possession of child pornography.

Imagine if we carved out exemptions to the 2nd amendment to protect children like we carve out exceptions to the 1st? If the mere presence of bits on a computer indicates a depraved mind that would harm children and needs to be locked up then the presence of bump stocks, more than a box of ammunition, high capacity magazines, assault style guns, and more than a few working guns points to a desire to harm people and the owner too should be locked up too.
