The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim in Monday's fatal Ashburn crash as 32-year-old Jose Ines Reyes of Washington, D.C.
Authorities said Reyes was one of five occupants in a passenger vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lane on Waxpool Road when it collided with an oncoming pickup truck.
Three other occupants of the passenger vehicle were transported to nearby hospitals and are reportedly considered to be in serious condition.
The pickup truck's sole occupant was also hospitalized for minor injuries, per the LCSO.

Deputies responded around 6:35 a.m. to the scene, where Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue workers pronounced an occupant in one of the vehicles dead.
Five other vehicle occupants were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The LCSO investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased, the seriousness of the other occupants' injuries or the make or model of either vehicle involved.
