A woman was arrested Thursday evening in Sterling after allegedly causing a hit-and-run, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded around 6:38 p.m. to the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and Nokes Boulevard, where a victim reported that another vehicle rear-ended his vehicle and fled the scene while he was stopped at a light.

Authorities searched the area and located the suspect vehicle parked on the side of the road, as well as a nearby female who was reportedly in an intoxicated state.

Patricia C. Manzanerez Gonzalez, 28, of Sterling was charged with hit-and-run and public intoxication.

The suspect was later released from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
