The Leesburg Police Department Traffic Management Unit is investigating a Tuesday night crash that left a pedestrian with serious injuries.
Shortly after 7 p.m., Leesburg officers received reports of a crash involving a pedestrian in the area of Harrison Street SE and Catoctin Circle SE.
Upon arrival, police found a 76-year-old woman laying in the roadway suffering injuries from a collision, according to LPD officials.
The woman was transported by ambulance to a local trauma center, where she is listed in serious but non-life threatening condition.
The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene.
No charges have been filed in the incident.
