Austin F. Brisbane Jr.

Austin F. Brisbane Jr., 93, died on May 12, 2020, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Leesburg, VA. He was born January 12, 1927, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Austin F. Brisbane Sr. and Erma E. Fischer. Austin graduated from Wash-ington and Lee High School, Arlington, Virginia, in 1944. He attended Mer-cersburg Academy and continued his education at George Washington Uni-versity and Benjamin Franklin. He was an active member of the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Vienna, Virginia for many years; served in the United States Army in Europe in 1946; and worked for the United States Marine Corp as a systems accountant. Austin was a Master of Concord 307 Masonic Lodge in 1968. He coached little league and loved Washington football and Baltimore baseball. Austin is survived by his wife of 73 years, Dinah; son, Danny Brisbane and his wife, Terry; granddaughter, Natalie Brisbane Wood and her husband David; and daughter-in-law, Vicki Daniels. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven W. Brisbane, who died in 2018. A private service and inurnment will be at Holy Comforter Church later this month.
