Chad William Parello

Chad William Parello, 48, of Sterling, VA, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020. He is survived by his three children, Gianni Parello, Michael Parello and Sofia Parello; as well as his mother, Eleanor Parello; and siblings, Theresa Simak, Christine Stinson, Catherine Parello, Joseph Parello and Jacqueline Cargo.

Born December 12, 1971 in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, just outside of Pittsburgh, Chad would eventually move to South Florida with his mother and father, Raymond Parello, when he was a teenager. There, he would graduate from Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory in Hollywood, FL, before attending the University of Miami, and serving in The United States Coast Guard Reserves.

Chad would move with his then-wife, Gina Pagnato Parello, to New York, and eventually to northern Virginia to raise their family. Chad spent most of his career in construction and roof repair, owning his own roofing company for a time. In his personal life, Chad will be remembered as a kind, caring, goofy father, brother, and friend. His children remember him as an amazing and fair coach, who excelled at making grilled cheese, and playing with them in the pool. His siblings remember him as the life of the party, with an infectious laugh and kind heart.

Chad loved sports, especially his two favorite football teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and University of Miami Hurricanes, and traveling with his family.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 10 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Sterling, VA. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Heart Association.
