Charlotte Hestand Dow went home to Jesus on December 4, 2020 at the age of 79.
Charlotte was born to Charles and Mary Hestand on February 15, 1941 in Dimmitt, Texas. As a child, she enjoyed spending time with her family, playing the clarinet, and signing in the choir. In 1995, she moved to Virginia to be close to her grandchildren and watch them grow up. She served the citizens of Loudoun County as an employee of Loudoun County Government for over 15 years. She spent her later years enjoying sewing, craft projects, spending time with her family and friends, shopping, and cooking good southern food. She had an infectious smile and an amazing sense of humor. Everyone she came into contact with knew her easy-going personality and kind heart. She will be missed.
Charlotte joins her parents, Charles and Mary, and her son, Lansing, in Heaven. She is survived by her brothers, Hoyt and Don, her sister-in-law Karen and Sandi, her child, Charles and his wife, Sue, daughter-in-law Nancy, her grandchildren, Britney, Brandon, Tony and Lee, her great-grandchildren Zach and Logan, her beloved pets Gabby, Nelly, and Puddin’, and her cherished BFF Jeanette Herndon.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 11am at Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA.
“See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.”
