Eula Mae Dotson Gardineer “Bom” (Age 93) Of Lansdowne, VA. passed peacefully on Wednesday October 6, 2021.

She was the loving wife of George F. Gardineer, for 61 years, who preceded her in death 6 years ago. She is the loving and caring mother to David (Pammy) Gardineer, Laura (Peter) Scholz, Virginia (Mark) Phinney, and Richard Gardineer; the beloved grandmother to ten grandchildren; and the great grandmother and beloved matriarch to a growing brood of sixteen great-grandchildren.

Eula Mae was born in Milford, Utah, on November 15, 1927. She was the middle child of seven children. While a child of the depression and world wars, she often spoke of many happy times, adventures, and travels there in southern Utah, with her family and friends.

Eula Mae was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She taught her family about devotion and service thru her actions and deeds. She served in a variety of callings over her lifetime, including Primary and Relief Society President, at the Ward and Stake levels. One of her favorite callings was as the Primary Chorister. To teach and hear young children sing songs of praise and worship was always a source of great happiness. All of her children, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren have shared songs and stories with Bom.

Eula Mae and George created marvelous memories and built strong family bonds by traveling across the country to support kids and grandkids in a variety of life events. The favorite activity for ALL was an annual visit to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. There have been wonderful summers and a few Thanksgivings that were spent there as grandmas and grandpas, moms and dads, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins and friends were treated to marvelous times where love and acceptance was spoken and understood. This has left us all with a legacy that leaves us incredibly close to one another! And always anxious to share one more sunset together.

There will be a Memorial Service held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints -801 Balls Bluff Rd NE Leesburg, VA- on Saturday October 16th, at 11:00am.

She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Quantico Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday October 19th.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Eula Mae’s name to Operation Smile(www.operationsmile.org)
