Frankie E. Tolson,76 of Leesburg VA passed away at Lansdowne Hospital in Leesburg VA on Dec.20,2021. Born October 27, 1945 in Culpeper, VA to the late WM Thomas Tolson and Virginia Keene Tolson.
He had a very hard life growing up but rose to the challenge and worked very hard to become successful and provide for his family. Frankie was someone they could look up to , count on and learn a lot from. He worked for and with the following: Lynch Corporation, Smith Thomas & Smith, Poland Brothers, Triple seven Christian School, Loudoun Milling, Lee Edwards farming, worked with David Lloyd, Dale Newton, and became the owner of Knotty Pine Construction. Frankie worked hard and took pride in every job he did. Due to illness, he had to give up his passion of carpentry.
Frankie is survived by his wife of 58 yrs, Virginia (Jenny) Tolson, daughters Virginia Payne (James), Valeria Cooper (Tracy Longerbeam), 5 grandchildren: James Payne, Autumn Seale, Ashley Payne, Michael (Turtle) Cooper, Candyse Cooper, 9 great grandchildren: Austin Cox, Kylee Payne, Dakota Cox, Hunter Flynn, JP Payne III, Molly Cox, Dallas Cox, Savannah Payne, Tanner Flynn. Sisters Nettie Shoemaker (Victor), Betty Ann Harold, 1/2 Brother Carl Cruet, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Frankie enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved working the farm, raising beagles, construction, hunting, fishing, antique shows, craft fairs, flea markets, wood working, beach, camping, taking his daughters to pageants and majorettes, playing cards, butchering & raising hogs, riding motorcycles, horseshoes, Nascar, football (Washington), horse races, and spending time with friends.
He believed that nothing in life came free and you must work for everything you have. His motto was to work hard and take pride in everything you do in life with honor and integrity.
Frankie will be greatly missed by many and loved by all.
Visitation will be held January 15, 2021 at 11:00 am followed by the funeral at 12:00 pm at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, Leesburg VA. Officiated by Pastor Blair Forrester. Interment will follow at the Old Sterling Cemetery on Church Road Sterling VA.
