James Wilbur Frye

James Wilbur Frye (81) was born March 7, 1938, in Lucketts, Virginia. He was the youngest of 18 children to the late Ode and Virgie Frye of Lucketts. James was raised and lived in Loudoun County his whole life. James worked for Deco (Westinghouse) from 1958-1976. James worked with F & L Plumbing until he retired in 2009. He enjoyed baseball and gardening and playing cards. James loved his family and his wife Sonja, whom he married in 1960. They had been married for 59 years. He had two sons, Jimmy (Rose) Frye and Rex Frye; one grandchild, Jimmy P. Frye; and one great-grandchild, Hayleigh Frye. James will be missed by many people, but we know he is now in a better place where there is no more pain and suffering. He is survived by sisters, Frances Leona Austin and Violet Lorraine Cooper. He was predeceased by his son, Rex Frye; brothers, Roy Lenwood Frye, Albert Elton Frye, Lenox Nelson Frye, Irving Berkley Frye, William Theadore Frye and Kenneth Victor Frye; and sis-ters, Odie Ellen Athey, Lola May Carnes, Louise Mornie Flynn, Mamie Viola Frye, Annie Arbutus Springs, Helen Virginia Funk, Mabel Gertrude Frye, Emma Marie Lawson and Goldie Lee Bates. A graveside service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Furnace Mountain Cemetery located at 12946 James Monroe Hwy, Leesburg, Virginia 20176 with the Ed Hartman officiating. Interment followed in Furnace Mountain Cemetery, Leesburg, VA. The family received friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Adler Center for Caring In-patient Center in Aldie, 24419 Millstream Dr., Aldie, VA 20105.
