Jimmy Gallagher

Jimmy Gallagher, born Jim Mark Gallagher after his grandfather, came into the world as a beautiful big blonde baby, loved by so many people, and whom he loved in return for all of his 24 years, beginning on March 22, 1996.

A natural athlete, Jimmy wrestled and played baseball and football. Jimmy loved fishing and riding the dirt bike, and any kind of cooking. He was particularly talented on the grill and creating marinades and spice mixtures. He also loved to crank his country music.

Jimmy's heart knew no bounds in devotion to his family. Thoughtful, often extravagant gifts, cards for every occasion. For Mother's Day every year, he helped his mom pick, buy, plant and mulch her flower garden while at their house in Ashburn. For the last two years, Jimmy's world revolved around his beloved niece Tessa. Jimmy doted on her, and she loved him right back.

Jimmy gave generously to the end, with his organs going to four people whose lives will be healthier and longer - as his own life should have.

He is survived by his parents, Dan Gallagher of Middleburg, Virginia, Lisa Gallagher of Richardson, Texas; brother Daniel Gallagher Jr., sister-in-law Morgan and niece Tessa Lee; sister McKenna LaRue Gallagher; grandmothers Lois Gallagher and Alice Kryza; grandfather and step grandmother Jim and Dottie Mark; and dozens of Gallagher and Mark uncles, aunts and cousins who will love him and lift him up in prayer for all the years he should have remained here on earth.

Hug your children today and tell them you love them. And please be an organ donor.

Celebration of Life to be announced at later date along with Golf Tournament. Jimmy Gallagher
