Lester Ellisworth “Black Sheep” Riley

Lester Ellisworth “Black Sheep” Riley, of Lovettsville, VA, died January 5, 2020. He passed peacefully at home, on his beloved farm. Lester was born on April 18, 1932, in Hamilton, VA, to the late Catherine Kitts. Lester was predeceased by his patient and attentive wife of over 60 years, Dawn S. Riley. He is survived by his children, Kathy Puskarich of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, Kathleen “Dolly” Brubaker of Frederick, MD, and Jerome “Bub” Riley of Lovettsville, VA. He also leaves behind five grand-children, five great-grandchildren, and 3.5 great-great-grandchildren. Lester never knew a stranger. He enjoyed talking for hours about his love of his farm, cattle, fishing, hunting, and trapping. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 11, at Hall Funeral Home of Purcellville, VA, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
