Louis E. “Eddie” Oswald

Louis E. Oswald (Eddie) passed away at the age of 86 surrounded by family at his home on July 27th, 2019 in Sterling, Virginia. He was born September 19th, 1932 in Arlington, Virginia. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Elizabeth Oswald (Betty), and their children: Billy Oswald and wife Leyla, Susan McGaha and husband Dennis, Mary Smith and boyfriend Chris, Patty Gibson and husband Larry, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren that he dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Lydia Oswald, Brother Robert Oswald and Sisters: Mary Ann Miller and Helen Sydnor. Eddie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, as well as a friend and mentor to many. He was a man of all trades and an avid fisherman. He was active duty in the Air Force for 4 years, drove for Loudoun County Public Schools for 6 years and retired from Virginia Concrete after 30 years of hard work.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on August 2, 2019 at Leesburg Church of the Nazarene followed by burial at Sterling Cemetery in Sterling, VA. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until the time of the service at the church.
