Marty (Mary Margaret) McMichael

Marty (Mary Margaret) McMichael left us peacefully on January 29, 2021 at her home in Clinton, Maryland after bravely battling a long illness. A celebration of Marty’s life will be held on Friday, February 5th at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Purcellville, Virginia. Marty was born in Loudoun County on September 4, 1974. Marty is the daughter of Paul and Evelyn McMichael of Round Hill, Virginia.

Among Marty’s many accomplishments, she graduated in the top of her class at Clarke County High School in 1992. She attended George Mason University and has held managerial positions in several Fortune 500 companies.

Marty shared a home with her fiancé, Chris Teusche and their three puppies Jack, Gracie and Lance. Marty advocated against social injustices, the protection of animals and defended those who were otherwise overlooked.

Marty was a bright light, who nurtured many life-long friendships. Hundreds of friends and family who sent messages of grief and prayers, recounted their time with Marty and described her as gorgeous, courageous, heart of gold with a “take no prisoners” attitude.

Marty is survived by her parents, Paul and Evelyn, her sister Amy Fowler, her brother Bryan McMichael, her fiancé Chris Teusche, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Marty’s bright light will never fade and will be loved forever.

Marty will be laid to rest by her family in a private ceremony at a future date in Lakeview Cemetery, Hamilton, Virginia among her McMichael family.

Donations may be made in her honor to her favorite charity St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
