Mary Patricia Sheaffer

Mary Patricia Sheaffer, also known as Mary Denno before being married, and long-time Sterling Park resident, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2020, at her home at 59 years old. She was born in Bethlehem, New Hampshire, and moved from Rutland, Vermont, to Fairfax, VA, and finally to Sterling Park in 1977, where she has been ever since except a few years in Reston, VA and Herndon, VA. She worked for Loudoun County Parks and Rec as a facility attendant for the basketball group at Sterling Middle School and at Sterling Elementary.

She loved the children, her two dogs, Lala (her girl) and Yogie (her boy), her two cats, Sammy and Chills, her neighbors and her big garden that she shared with everybody. She was a wonderful wife for 34 years and best friend for over 42 years. I will greatly miss you, your loving husband. I will see you at the pearly gates in Heaven someday. She is survived by her two children, Joshua Adam Sheaffer and Matthew James Sheaffer; her grandson, Kendrick Wylde Sheaffer; mother-in-law, Patsy Sheaffer; brother, Bruce Denno of Washington, D.C.; and her husband, David W. Sheaffer of Sterling, VA. God Bless you, your loving family.
