Melvin C. Reed

Melvin C. Reed (Pete), 87, of Inwood, West Virginia, passed away September 14, 2020, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia. He was born in Loudoun County, VA, on September 5, 1933, the son of Harry and May Reed (both deceased). He had previously lived in Purcellville, VA, and spent the later years in Inwood. He served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his daughters, Aletha Settle (Chris) of Maurertown, VA, and Kristin Whirley (James) of Winchester, VA; his grandchildren, Brandon Grim, Tyler Whirley and Patrick Whirley; and his great-grandchild, Aaliyah Grim.

He worked at Loudoun Milk Transportation for years and then went into construction. He worked for Falls Church Construction Company from where he retired. He enjoyed being outdoors and working in his flower garden.

A graveside service will be held at a later date and will be private.
