Patricia Ann Masciale

Patricia Ann Masciale was born on January 7, 1967, in Deming, New Mex-ico, to Jesse and Cecilia Arias, who predeceased her. Tricia was a proud Aggie, graduating from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor of Criminal Justice in 1990. She met her husband, Barry, in 1988 while he was serving in the Air Force. They were married in September 1991 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, en route to a one-year military assignment in Alaska. In Alaska, Tricia worked for the State of Alaska and regularly braved 70 miles, alone, in arctic conditions to visit Barry at his remote assignment. From 1992 to 1995, Tricia and Barry returned to Colorado Springs and then in 1995, Tricia and Barry moved to Virginia, where they happily resided for 25 years. In Virginia, Tricia served as a Deputy Court Clerk for the Circuit Court of Fairfax and most recently as Secretary to the Chief Judge of the United States Tax Court. Tricia and Barry had a shared passion for travel, enjoyed sailing, and she was also an avid cook and gardener. Tricia was a communicant of St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed a strong faith. Tricia is survived by her loving husband Barry; older brother, Alfred Arias and his wife Patricia; younger brother, Lonnie Arias and his wife Tara; and a sister-in-law, Millie Walker and her husband Lee. Tricia also blessed the lives of her surviving father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Lucille Masciale; brothers-in-law, John and Chris Masciale and their wives Elaine and Karen; and numerous friends who were dear to her. She was a beloved aunt to eight nieces and nephews, and nine grandnieces and nephews, including her Goddaughter, Jaylee Arias. Our Lord called Tricia home on March 16 to rejoice with her parents, grandparents, nephew, and many other family members and friends who preceded her in eternal life.
