Peggy Hall Wisecarver

Peggy Hall Wisecarver, 87, of Round Hill, passed away May 11. She was born November 20, 1932, and grew up in Purcellville. Her parents were Welby J. Hall and Carrie T. Hall. She had a sister, Lillian Carruthers, and two brothers, Robert Hall and Welby Hall. She graduated from Lincoln High School, married Jimmy Wisecarver and had three girls, Jeannie Wisecarver, Patti House and Kelley Murphy. Scott House, her son-in-law, was also like a son to her. She worked as an aid on a handicapped school bus, a cafeteria supervisor at Blue Ridge Middle School and enjoyed volunteering at Blue Ridge Hospice Thrift Store in Purcellville. Over the years, she has enjoyed her five grandchildren, who remember her as having the best snack drawer, making the best baloney sandwiches and cinnamon buns and always having pickles. Family get togethers and picnics were always celebrated at her house and made great memories. Christopher Wisecarver, Matthew House, Garrett House, Erin Reid Rajewski and Tyler Reid were her grandchildren. She also has four great-grand-children, Bayden and Bodhi House of Blacksburg, and Flynn and Hudson House of Colorado. Peggy was a strong independent woman who loved her family and her cat, Buddy. She loved gardening, baking and spending time with her family. She was deeply loved and will be truly missed. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peggy Wisecarver’s name may be made to the Round Hill Volunteer Fire De-partment or Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester.
