William Turner Hummer, 78, of Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia, died Thursday, July 18, 2019 at his home. Mr. Hummer was born January 18, 1941 in Round Hill, Virginia, son of the late Charles Carlin Hummer and Ethel Mae Washington Hummer. He was a truck driver. He married Janet Crim Hummer on February 27, 1960 in Purcellville, Virginia. Surviving with his wife are daughters, Karen Lee Hummer of Berryville, VA and Brieanna Nicole Hummer of Ranson, WV; sons, Kelly Ray Hummer (Robbie) of Shenandoah Junction, WV and Brian Keith Hummer of Maryland; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, George Allen Hummer of Charles Town, WV; sister, Kathleen Womack of Odesa, TX; special friends, Joan Robey and Sandie Sheehan; and his dog, Zeena. His sisters, Mae Lang, Barbara Hall and Carol Smith, and brothers, John, Rodney, Charles and Roger Hummer, all preceded him in death. A funeral service will be held 11:00 A. M. Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville, VA with Rev. Doug Wright officiating. Burial followed in Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville. Pallbearers were Kelly Hummer, Ray Crim, Billy Dawson, Jerry Whitmer, David Florance and Maurice Lang. The family received friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P. M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
