I am writing in response to the letter from Roy Mabry encouraging all residents to support Virginia Senator Chase's work in conducting a "forensic audit of the 2020 election" in Virginia.
Mr. Mabry notes that he has "studied all of the information that I can find including mainstream media information" and concludes that here is enough evidence" to convince him that we have a problem. This is a very curious comment--- what could he read or see in mainstream media that would tell him that there have been irregularities? What EVIDENCE does he have that there have been irregularities that would negate the recent election?
In addition, I don't understand why anyone should follow anything that Senator Chase thinks. She is the one who called the Insurrectionists who attacked the Capitol on January 6th PATRIOTS!!! There have been court challenges after court challenges by former President Trump and only one or two have been successful. Attorney General Barr, appointed by President Trump, has said that the election was valid. Congress has certified the results.
The people who have lied for the former president are being sued or indicted and found guilty. Some will be disbarred. .
I have been an election official in Loudoun County for over 15 years and can attest to the fact that we have a system that should be the model for every locality. We are trained every election. Voting machines produce a paper trail and they are constantly upgraded. They are tested before being put into use. Both Republicans and Democrats observe the elections and the counting of results. If Mr. Mabry really is concerned about how the elections work, become an election officer, and see how it is done.
Please do not listen to Mr. Mabry in supporting Senator Chase who thinks Insurrectionists are PATRIOTS.
